Unexpected.

Lil' Wayne's No Ceilings mixtape. I heard he was coming out with one, and thought it'd be crap, but then I decided to download, since I'm the type to actually listen to more than 1 thing from a person before I can make an adamant judgment about something. So I listen to it and I realize, "this mixtape is really good..." So now I'm listening to it a lot. If you haven't downloaded it yet, I encourage you to.

Wanted II.

Nike Air Foamposite One. Some nice looking kicks that are expensive as hell [$200 w/o tax]. Anyway, this copper colorway drops in like...February of next year. So I guess I should get it as a birthday present to myself =D.

Rico Suave Bossa Nova.

Jay $tay Paid. Released June 2, 2009. I need this album. I was slacking on Dilla until like '07. And I was literally slapped in the face with how great his beats were. So I'm gonna try to buy more Dilla and Dilla-related CDs and such so that I can expand my repertoire. When if I get this album, I'll tell you how nice it is.

Duffle coat.

Speaking of winterwear, I really like these duffle coats. They're supposedly warmer than peacoats, but they start at like $160. If I had a job it wouldn't be an issue. But at the same time, if it's warmer and more versatile, it'd make more sense. This particular one in the picture is from Topman. I really like grey coats as you can probably tell by now. So yeah, if you get one of these, you'll probably be looking really fresh. If you have the opportunity to, go and get one of these duffle coats.

Uniqlo.

A Japanese clothing store located in Soho. Namely 546 Broadway. They're compared to H&M a lot. The people who actually aren't prejudiced against it because it isn't H&M say they have some hot, well-made things for cheap. From what I've seen on the website, I would have to agree. Of course the H&M heads would call it a bootleg H&M and make fun of it [trust me, bums at school have been doing that out of nowhere], but when you go to school looking fresher than them, what are they gonna tell you? Check the website and go down to Soho one day. I know I'm gonna be going soon to get myself a dark grey peacoat for winter [$99.50].

Needed.

Apple Macbook Pro. Windows has been annoying the hell out of me lately. I heard Windows 7 was going to be good, but I don't know. Windows has been letting me down a lot lately. My dad's probably gonna upgrade it anyway, but I still need a laptop anyway. That's where this comes in. Plus it has GarageBand, which I can use to get my start with making beats for my aspirations of being a music producer. And it's a Mac. They just look good lol. The only real downside to these things are the pricing. But I guess it pays off in the long run. I haven't really heard of anyone with a Macbook complaining of issues with them.

=[

I feel bad. Mostly it's fear. I lost my scholarship at Mount after sophomore year [it was a partial one, but still] and I actually need a scholarship to college, otherwise it's gonna be hell for me. College is definitely very pricey. I mean New York University is like $50,000 a semester [that includes room & board]. CUNY and SUNY are cheaper but still pricey. Of course I'm working to get into a good one with a scholarship, but it's difficult. Anyone who tells you otherwise either is lying or spends all day cooped up their room studying every book ever known to man. Usually, when I'm bored, besides listening to music of course, I browse websites. It just so happens my most visited ones deal with clothing and sneakers. And what do they have in common? They cost money. Well I don't have that money. Therefore I wanted a job. But school would subtract from that. Yet without one, I can't get good pay for my savings account, which could go towards my college fund. I'm horrible at saving money anyway. But I digress. I just hope that I do well enough so that I can make something of myself in the future instead of being a bum who mooches off of his parents and sad stuff like that. I have to get applications to my guidance counselor and send them out ASAP. I have to visit colleges. I have to look up scholarships and financial aid. This is kind of a little note to myself when I want to start slacking [reference to the earlier blog titled "Slacking" could be acceptable]. Well I'm done with this rant/self-enlightenment.

Wow.

I found out President Obama won the '09 Nobel Peace Prize. So I put a congratulatory message on Facebook. I go to check a blog, come back, and people are commenting about how they don't think he deserves it or whatever. To be honest, I could care less about the fact that they're mad. But if you need s reasoning to why he won it, I guess this or this could clear it up for you.

Arcane.

Arcane
adj. - known or understood by very few; mysterious; secret; obscure; esoteric.

Yes. That's what it means for all of you who were too lazy to type 6 letters into Google or Yahoo and see for yourself. I consider myself this obviously. Why? I consider myself this because I fit the definition. I'm shy, I keep to myself a lot. Only a few know about my real thoughts and real personality. Others just know me as another person who they may be acquainted with. I try not to share many things with people, because they could easily try to flip that on you if anything bad happens to the friendship/acquaintance. So I call myself Argyle the Arcane. And I will remain that way.

Slacking.

Damn...I just looked at my friend's blog and saw he took a pic with Kid Cudi in Manhattan at the Bape store that day. I probably wouldn't have went anyway since I'm usually broke as hell, but still, I feel like I'm slacking in my life. Lazy with my HW, chilling at home like a bum instead of just going out and seeing the city...it's ridiculous and it's time I've acknowledged it. Well now that I've gotten that out of my mind, I feel kind of better, but I still know I have a lot of things to do, especially since I'm starting my college search and attempting to enter one. Whenever I feel lazy, I should look at this post and remind myself about what I need to do and why. Hopefully it'll change my mind about whatever the hell I'm doing that I'm deciding to slack on. Well, I guess I should get to this HW now.

Mr. Magic, 1st to play hip-hop on the radio, died of a heart attack yesterday. R.I.P.

Definite Classic.

Damn I didn't realize I haven't blogged since 9.20. Senior year is busy at school, so I'm kind of trying to prepare for my future =D. Anyway, I bought a gem yesterday. Nas' Illmatic. The 10th Anniversary edition. I had a downloaded version but then I realized that...A - I get 6 more songs if I buy the album and B - Nothing beats ACTUAL CDQ.
